Palestinian-American Adolescent Liberated After Nine Months in Israeli Detention

An Palestinian-American youth having endured nine months in imprisonment by Israel without charge was released.
The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 when he was arrested last February within the occupied West Bank, during a family visit on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing toward Israeli settlers, claims he consistently denied.
American diplomatic officials applauded the news of Mohammed's release.
Now sixteen years old, was taken to hospital right after being freed, family members reported.
Family described him as showing signs of malnutrition, while battling health issues acquired while detained.
Via family representatives, Mohammed's uncle spoke of the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".
Family member Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "living a horrific and endless nightmare" during the entire detention period.
"At this moment, our priority is ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention he requires after being subjected to mistreatment by authorities and brutal treatment for months."
American authorities stated they would maintain to provide consular support to the teenager's relatives.
{"American leadership has no higher priority to ensuring the safety for United States citizens"," it added.
A group of American legislators endorsed a document to the state department and the administration, requesting additional efforts for his freedom.
Mohammed's parent, a father-of-four managing a frozen treats business based in Tampa, previously claimed Mohammed acknowledged allegations to throwing stones due to physical abuse.
There were no visits or spoken to Mohammed since February, receiving updates exclusively what had happened to him through judicial records.
The teenager remained without charge within Ofer penitentiary on the West Bank.
The facility also contains mature inmates, including individuals found guilty of serious terrorism offences and murder.
There are around several hundred young Palestinian detainees detained within Israeli facilities, according to the Israeli Prison Service.
Many have never been charged along with monitoring agencies, as well as the United Nations, say some have suffered mistreatment and torture.
After the teenager's freedom, the uncle stated the family would also continue fighting seeking justice for their relative their cousin Sayfollah.
The dual national youth per medical officials died from beating by settlement residents amid clashes last July.

The two cousins were employed together at their family's ice cream business based in Florida.
No one has been charged for the cousin's murder.
"We expect US authorities to ensure our family's safety," Mr Kadur said.
